Help! Last spring I took a class through UoP and am now finding that I need to take another class. Its been about 8 months since Ive taken a class or accessed the website and I need some help figuring out how to register for another class.
Do I call an enrollment representative or is there somewhere I go on the website?
3 MORE WEEKS OF CLASS AND I'M DONE, I'M SO EXCITED!!!!
Current mood: okay.
just curious, do most UOP students take classes online? what is typically expected of you in a UOP class? i am thinking of becoming a teacher for UOP, and am wondering if they will have me teach online, or in person? i have heard they do have some live classrooms, and was wondering how that worked.
also, do most UOP teachers work from a UOP office, do you think, or from their home computer? are classes ever conducted via webcam? is software like 'Elluminate' ever used to aid in teleconferencing? how is academic integrity maintained?
thanks, i'm very curious. :)

I have joined LJ in hopes of warning the many parents who only seek the best for their child and to help keep the online community from being scammed.
As a former employee of the companies owned by Robb Gott (badasstutors.com, supertutorsusa.com, and ratemytutor.com) I have witnessed the most disgusting and unethical practices imaginable for a "legitimate" tutoring company. Hence, why I refuse to work for them.
Mainly targeting K-12 children with his supertutorsusa.com website, Gott has convinced parents that his service should be used because he "Guarantees an A or B or free" and he offers "professional licensed tutors." The truth is, however, there are no background checks.
And the tutors aren't just teaching algebra and English to your kids- they're also teaching "BJ" classes and other oral sex and drug-related lessons.
Gott has been associated with spamming over 17000 UNLV students, vandalizing campuses to advertise, and refusing to pay his employees.
Check out this Live Journal Account to see more of our Journals- including written correspondence where Gott refused to pay his employee, as well as links to articles! Not a company I think children (or college students) should use as a legitimate tutoring service.
My class has assignments listed in week 1. It says "Paper due in Week 1". Does that mean due the first day of class (Tuesday) or by the following Monday?
My class starts Tuesday -eep! I was just browsing around the ecampus website and found that I cant open my inbox. Is this happening to anyone else???
I'm surprised to see that there's a group on here. I started UoP back in August 2007, I'm working on my MBA in technology management. So far, I haven't had any problems with the school. I like the accelerated program, I like the fact that I'm done with a class after 6 weeks. The writing of papers every week does get a little redundant, but I would rather write a paper than take a test any day. I'm at the campus in Southfield, MI.
Current mood: hungry.
I started UOP in August of 2007. I just found this community after creating a livejournal account so I could write about things going on and post some of my writings for people's opinions. I started out as a Visual Communications major in IT, but decided to switch to Psychology recently. To transfer to another college I need 30 credits so I can transfer in without problems. I'm not to far but now with some health issues I've decided to take a 34 day leave of absence to take care of them. I'm now deciding on whether or not to transfer after I get my 30 credits or to finish my bachelor's at UOP then transfer to get my Masters and Ph.D at the University of Utah. They have an excellent psychology department there.
Current mood: awake.
I was in the BSM major, but i want to be a psychiatrist, so i need to switch to a psych major. I also need to take labs for pre-med courses. I know i can't take labs online. Has anyone ever taken their psych major, than taken the labs, then gone to med school?
Current mood: curious.
Does anyone else feel like the classes cost too much at UOP online?
People don't post to this community a lot, do they?
